READING  IN  MOTION

Reading in Motion is an engaging, multisensory literacy program that helps children strengthen reading comprehension by connecting text to purposeful movement. Rather than remaining seated as they read, students actively demonstrate vocabulary, story events, concepts, and informational content through movement-based learning experiences.

This is how Reading In Motion works...

While reading about sports, students may act out the movements of athletes, sequence game events, or use physical actions to represent key terms. When exploring stories or nonfiction topics, learners can move like characters, recreate settings, illustrate cause-and-effect relationships, or use gestures to show their understanding of new ideas. These activities make reading more meaningful, memorable, and accessible, especially for students who learn best by doing.
